This is a work in progress and will improve over time, so please check in often.
This process may take up to 15 minutes.
In order to connect your annaboto to WiFi, please follow the next steps:
- Download the wifi-coinfig.json file (towards the bottom of this page).
- Edit the wifi-config.json file in https://jsoneditoronline.org/
- Input your SSID name and password exactly.
- For example, if your WiFi SSID is "My Wifi" and your password is "aBcd1234" your wifi.json contents should look like this:
{"ssid": "My WiFi", "pwd": "aBcd1234"}
NOTE: If you are using a Mac and you have apostrophes in your SSID and/or Password, make sure you are using the right kind of apostrophe. Blame Steve Jobs!
- Save the file onto a USB stick at the top level:
- Make sure the file is called exactly wifi-config.json
- The file should appear in the USB folder when you first open it
- If possible, it should be the only files there
- Eject the USB Drive from your computer
- On the Annaboto, disconnect one of the USB cables for the lamp (it doesn't matter which) and plug in the USB drive.
